Brainstorming activities for refreshing mind
Brain is the most alert organ of human body. It is the brain which is always awake and refuses to take any rest. Even while we are asleep our brain is working, the function of brain is reduced as most of our activities apart from breathing and some reflex actions are put to stop during rest hours. Thus brain’s load is reduced. Over the span of our life, we are required to use our brain every single minute. A brain dead person turns into a vegetable. Thus functioning of brain is very much important for our existence. During early years of life kids use the maximum amount of brain’s capacity. Later it is reduced as we grow up. None of the individuals use the entire capacity of the brain, it has immense capacity. The brain is thus the most important machine of our body. As all the machines require maintenance and proper care, so does the brain. If we do not feed it with challenging tasks, it gets rusted. Students’ life, professional life provides brain with sufficient amount of challenges and stimulation. Once we approach the old age and get retired from almost all the activities which include brain to perform challenging roles, it starts to get dull. There are some senior activity groups which understand this problem of theirs and work towards pulling them back into stream by conducting various activities which involves brain challenges, has much required stimulation for brain. These groups also conduct leisure activities like pleasure trips, visits for change in life. Later they also plan social cause activities which give them a feeling of achievement. Books reading and discussion about them is also one of the favorite activities carried out here. They are also assigned various tasks which require extensive use of brain and physical abilities. Thus these groups’ help in getting the elderly people back into action and help them live a healthy and confident life.
